Investors File Disputes About Broker Gilberto Briseno's Investment Recommendations At LPL Financial

LPL Financial Client Indicates Unsuitable Recommendations In Dispute About Gilberto Briseno

Evidently, Gilberto Briseno worked for securities firm LPL Financial from 2012 to 2017.  Apparently, he was a financial advisor from 2012 to 2014, and a securities broker from 2012 to 2017. The first dispute concerns an LPL Financial client who alleged that Briseno provided bad advice. In this November 2020 FINRA Arbitration Claim, the client claimed that Briseno’s recommendations of a variable annuity and real estate security resulted in damages. Because of this, LPL Financial opted to settle with the client through making a $30,000 payment.

Client Of LPL Financial Contends That Briseno Misrepresented Information About Investments

Also, a client of LPL Financial LLC took issue with Gilberto Briseno through a November 2020 lawsuit. Similar to the first dispute, this client alleges that Briseno provided unreasonable advice about REITs and annuities. However, this investor also claimed that the securities broker misrepresented important information in connection with the client’s investment purchases. For this reason, LPL Financial opted to settle with the client through making a $45,000 payment.

FSC Securities Corporation Client Alleges Misrepresentation In Dispute About Gilberto Briseno

Prior to joining LPL Financial, Gilberto Briseno worked for FSC Securities Corporation as both a securities broker and financial advisor. Reportedly, a client of FSC Securities Corporation contested his sales practices. Notably, the February 2020 lawsuit alleges that Briseno made improper recommendations and had misrepresented investment-related information. It seems that the client incurred damages on investments in annuities and REITs. Evidently, FSC Securities Corporation paid the client $15,000 to settle this matter.
