Broker Jeffrey Weiner's Sales Practices Questioned By MSI Clients

Investor alert! Soreide Law Group provides you this update on investor disputes brought against securities broker Jeffrey Paul Weiner (CRD#: 2476604, New York, New York). Evidently, Weiner maintained an association with MSI Financial Services through 2017. He also worked for firms including MML Investors Services (2017 to 2020) and Pruco Securities (2020). Notably, of the nine disputes on Jeffrey Weiner’s public record since October 2000, four come from 2020 alone. Here’s a breakdown of some of these disputes and what you could do if you invested with the securities broker.

MSI Client Takes Aim At Jeffrey Weiner For Alleged Misrepresentation

Evidently, a client complained about Jeffrey Weiner in August 2020. Apparently, the broker sold the client a variable universal life insurance policy. Namely, the client contended that this policy was misrepresented. For this reason, the client demanded compensatory relief. It appears that the client wants to have the policy restored to its original standards. This matter awaits a resolution.

Weiner Supposedly Misrepresents Variable Life Policy To MSI Client

Notably, a second client of MSI Financial disputed Jeffrey Weiner’s insurance sales. Particularly, the client alleges in this May 2020 dispute that Weiner misrepresented a policy sold in 2017. Supposedly, this policy replaced two universal life policies that the client held. It appears that by surrendering those two policies, the client paid thousands of dollars in surrender charges. It seems that the client did not know about those penalties by the time that the transactions were underway. However, this matter was denied in July 2020.

MSI Client Indicates That Jeffrey Weiner Misled Her About VUL Premiums

Also, MSI Financial Services reports a complaint filed by a client in January 2020. Along the same lines as the other disputes, this client suggested that Jeffrey Weiner was misleading. Particularly, in this instance, the broker supposedly failed to be clear and transparent about the premiums of a VUL policy purchased by the client in 2013. Supposedly, Weiner misled the client to earn a commission. However, this dispute was denied by MSI in January 2020.

Prior Disputes From MetLife Clients

Remarkably, it seems that nearly every client who brought a dispute about Jeffrey Weiner has alleged misrepresentation. Evidently, in disputes from 2000 to 2014, clients seem to suggest that the broker made false or inaccurate statements regarding the features and terms of variable annuity and variable life insurance products.
