John Ledford Tied To FWG Holdings LLC Investor Dispute About Sales Practice Violations

Investors have reportedly disputed the sales practices of securities broker John Edward Ledford [CRD: 2960837, Orlando, Florida], based on disclosures on Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) BrokerCheck. Ledford worked for Ameriprise Financial Services LLC from September 5, 2014, to June 23, 2020, and later joined Fortress Wealth Group LLC in June 2020, where he has served in executive roles. Notably, a FWG Holdings LLC client filed Civil Action No. 2023-CA-013953-O about John Ledford. Because of this, the client allegedly incurred damages connected to debt instruments. Therefore, on December 10, 2024, FWG Holdings LLC settled this matter by paying the client $397,500 in damages.

Particularly, a client of Commonwealth Financial Network disputed Ledford’s sales practices, according to a complaint dated January 21, 2011. Allegedly, Ledford charged both an advisory fee and a commission on a real estate security. It appears that Ledford allegedly caused the client to sustain damages pertaining to real estate securities. Consequently, the client sought compensation from Commonwealth Financial Network or Ledford in the amount of $69,000 in this matter. However, the firm denied this complaint.
