Joseph Badolato Involved In Key Investment Services Investor’s Breach Of Fiduciary Duty Claim

Investors apparently complained about securities broker Joseph John Badolato [CRD: 4769496, Delmar, New York], based on public information on Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) BrokerCheck. Joseph Badolato has worked for Key Investment Services LLC since January 12, 2016, as a securities broker and since March 26, 2021, as a financial advisor. Key Investment Services Investor Accused Badolato Of Breach Of Contract And Negligence

Evidently, on February 10, 2026, a Key Investment Services client filed FINRA Arbitration No. 26-00242 about Joseph Badolato. Mainly, the client alleged that Badolato was negligent, breached his fiduciary duty, breached a contract, failed to supervise certain representatives, made misrepresentations, and violated FINRA conduct rules in connection with 2020 purchases of mutual funds and fixed annuities. For this reason, the client allegedly suffered damages. Consequently, the client requested $60,000 in compensation from Key Investment Services or Badolato. BrokerCheck shows that this arbitration is pending a resolution.

Joseph Badolato Disclosed Misrepresentation Allegations By Key Investment Services LLC Client

Also, a client of Key Investment Services LLC disputed Joseph Badolato’s sales practices by filing FINRA Arbitration No. 22-02869. Allegedly, Badolato made misrepresentations involving the March 2021 purchase of a structured product. It appears that Badolato allegedly caused the client to incur damages. As a result, Key Investment Services LLC opted to settle the matter on March 31, 2023, by compensating the client in the amount of $23,032.98.

Badolato Disclosed Sales Practice Violations Allegations By Citizens Securities Client

Additionally, a client of Citizens Securities Inc. contested Joseph Badolato’s sales practices, according to a complaint dated October 13, 2017. Allegedly, Badolato misled clients regarding Puerto Rico municipal bond investments purchased in February 2011. It appears that Badolato allegedly caused the client to experience damages on those municipal bonds. Therefore, the client sought compensation from Citizens Securities Inc. or Badolato in the amount of $108,982.29 in this matter. The complaint was denied on November 13, 2017.
