Kenneth Shotsberger Tied To Equitable Advisors Client Dispute Concerning Misrepresentation

Investors might have sustained losses due to securities broker Kenneth Thomas Shotsberger (also known as Ken Shotsberger) [CRD: 6186517, Deerfield, Illinois], according to publicly available information on FINRA BrokerCheck. Equitable Advisors LLC Investor Accused Ken Shotsberger Of Misrepresentation

Particularly, on April 24, 2025, an Equitable Advisors LLC client filed a complaint about Kenneth Shotsberger. Specifically, the client alleged that Shotsberger made misrepresentations related to a variable life insurance policy replacement. For this reason, the client allegedly sustained damages. Consequently, the client requested $5,000 in compensation from Equitable Advisors LLC or Shotsberger. However, the firm denied this dispute.

Kenneth Shotsberger Discharged For Outside Business Activities

Notably, Equitable Advisors LLC disaffiliated with Shotsberger on April 23, 2024. Allegedly, Shotsberger failed to disclose outside business activities. Basically, these activities refer to any business or financial activities that a registered broker or investment adviser engages in outside their primary employment with a securities brokerage firm. These activities must be disclosed to and often approved by the firm in writing to ensure compliance with regulations and to prevent conflicts of interest.
