Lance Walston Involved In Dominion Investor Disputes

Dominion Portfolio Management Clients File Disputes About Broker Lance Walston

Soreide Law Group comes to you with new information in regard to securities broker Lance Colby Walston (CRD#: 4440958, San Antonio, Texas). Evidently, Walston worked as a securities broker for Raymond James (2007 to 2009), LPL Financial (2009 to 2017), Dominion Portfolio Management Inc. (2017 to 2020), and Dominion Investor Services (August 2017 to present). Namely, the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) reports that six investors filed disputes about the securities broker. One or more investor disputes alleges unsuitable trading, breach of fiduciary duty, and misrepresentation. Here’s a summary of the disclosures.

Lance Walston’s Dominion Portfolio Management Client Alleges Options Losses

Evidently, in March 2021, a client of Dominion Portfolio Management brought a dispute about Lance Walston. The client alleged that Walston caused options losses in their account between September-December of 2018. It appears that Dominion Portfolio Management resolved this matter by making a $150,000 payment to the client in June 2021.

Walston Allegedly Strays From Dominion Client’s Investment Objectives

Also, a Dominion Portfolio Management client contested the suitability of Lance Walston’s sales practices in March 2020. Basically, suitability relates to an investor’s risk tolerance, financial needs, and investment objectives. Specifically, this client claims that Walston strayed from their objectives, resulting in damages to the client. For this reason, Dominion Portfolio Management opted to settle with the client by paying them $188,000 in July of 2020.

Walston’s Raymond James Client Alleges Breach Of Contract, Breach Of Fiduciary Duty

Also, a client of Raymond James took issue with Lance Walston’s equity and UIT trading. The client’s Statement of Claim alleges breach of contract and breach of fiduciary duty relating to the trades at Raymond James. Also, the client alleges misrepresentation, negligence, and Raymond James’ failure to supervise. It seems that Raymond James settled with this client by paying them $11,500 in damages.
