LPL Financial Client Alleges Unsuitable REIT, BDC In Dispute About Laura Shrawder-Miles
First of all, a client of LPL Financial LLC filed a FINRA Arbitration Claim in February 2021 regarding Shrawder-Miles. Specifically, the client claimed that the securities broker advised her to invest in a BDC, REIT and mutual fund. All of those investments, according to the client, were not suitable and had caused damages. It appears that Shrawder-Miles had them invest in alternative investments from July 2014 to February 2021. For this reason, the client asks for $55,000 to resolve this ongoing matter.
LPL Financial Disaffiliates With Shrawder-Miles
Notably, LPL Financial employed Shrawder-Miles from August 2005 to November 2019. Supposedly, it discharged the broker for impersonating a client when dealing with an insurance company about a client’s annuity. Shrawder-Miles’s employment termination occurred on October 8, 2019.
Client Of LPL Financial Alleges Unsuitable REITs In Dispute About Laura Shrawder-Miles
It appears that a client of LPL Financial took issue with Shrawder-Miles’s recommendations or sales of REITs. Evidently, the March 2016 dispute focuses on Shrawder-Miles’s purportedly unsuitable switching of the client form annuities to real estate securities. It seems that the illiquidity of these investments posed a problem for the client. However, LPL Financial denied this client’s dispute.
PrimeVest Financial Services Client Alleges Misrepresentation of Annuity
Also, in a dispute that a PrimeVest Financial Services client made about Shrawder-Miles, the client claimed that the broker misrepresented the bonus rate on an annuity.
