LAUREN L WING Fined and Suspended

LAUREN L WING (also known as: LAUREN LEE WING, LAUREN WINGYEE) CRD#: 5803987, a broker formerly with JP Morgan Securities of Los Angeles, was fined $5000.00 and suspended for one month by FINRA for allegedly trading in a senior client’s account without authorization.
According to the September 10, 2020, FINRA report, without admitting or denying the findings, LAUREN L WING consented to the sanctions and to the entry of findings that she allegedly engaged in unauthorized trading by purchasing brokered certificates of deposit in a senior client's brokerage account totaling $314,000 without first obtaining the client's authorization.
FINRA’s findings stated that shortly thereafter, the client complained by email, and LAUREN L WING forwarded the communication to her managers. Wing's member firm reversed the trades, reimbursed the $135 trading loss, and terminated Wing.
According to FINRA’s BrokerCheck, available to the public on FINRA’s website, LAUREN L WING has been registered in the securities industry for 6 years.  Wing has two disclosures on her FINRA CRD report, one is the “Regulatory” which fined and suspended her, and the other is an “Employment Separation After Allegations” which discharged her from JP Morgan in April of 2018 following allegations of, “REGISTERED REP ADMITTED TO EXERCISING DISCRETION WHEN PLACING TRADES ON BEHALF OF A CUSTOMER WITHOUT PRIOR AUTHORIZATION, IN VIOLATION OF FIRM POLICY. THE FIRM REIMBURSED THE CLIENT $135.00 FOR ALLEGED LOSSES.”
