Therefore, on August 28, 2023, UBS Financial Services Inc. settled this matter by paying the client $12,704.83 in damages.

Particularly, a client of UBS Financial Services Inc. contested Michael Hamilton’s sales practices, according to a complaint dated June 8, 2012. Specifically, Hamilton allegedly failed to disclose an adverse report about the ratings of their investments. It appears that Hamilton allegedly caused the client to sustain damages on structured products. Therefore, the client sought compensation from UBS Financial Services Inc. or Hamilton in the amount of $100,000 in this matter. However, this complaint was denied on June 29, 2012.

Salomon Smith Barney Inc. Investor Accused Hamilton Of Negligence

Particularly, a client filed a complaint about Michael Hamilton while he was with Salomon Smith Barney Inc. Specifically, the client alleged that Hamilton did not give her advice in a declining market. Because of this, the client allegedly sustained $200,000 in damages on stocks. Therefore, on July 24, 2001, Salomon Smith Barney Inc. settled this matter by paying the client $27,000 in damages, with Hamilton contributing $17,000 to the settlement.
