Michael Seymour Involved In Centaurus Financial Investor’s Breach Of Fiduciary Duty Claim

Investors have reportedly disputed the sales practices of securities broker Michael Glenn Seymour (also known as Mike Seymour) [CRD: 1597042, Winter Haven, Florida], given the publicly available information found on Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) BrokerCheck. Seymour worked for Centaurus Financial Inc. from July 26, 2016, to the present, and Ingram Advisory Services LLC from November 4, 2008, to the present. Centaurus Financial Investor Accused Mike Seymour Of Unsuitable Recommendations

Particularly, a Centaurus Financial Inc. client filed FINRA Arbitration No. 23-02694 about Michael Seymour. Mainly, the client alleged that Seymour made unsuitable recommendations and breached his fiduciary duty by recommending a high-risk, speculative, and illiquid investment. Because of this, the client allegedly incurred damages associated with corporate bonds. As a result, on September 16, 2024, Centaurus Financial Inc. settled this matter by paying the client $65,000 in damages.

Investors Capital Investor Accused Michael Seymour Of Unsuitable Advice

Specifically, an Investors Capital Corp. client filed FINRA Arbitration No. 16-00818 about Michael Seymour. Primarily, the client alleged that Seymour made unsuitable recommendations. For this reason, the investor allegedly sustained damages connected to real estate securities. Therefore, on May 5, 2017, Investors Capital Corp. settled this matter by paying the client $15,000 in damages.

Mike Seymour Sanctioned By FINRA For Failure To Supervise

Notably, FINRA issued Case: 2018057298702 on September 27, 2022 sanctioning Michael Seymour for infractions. Allegedly, Seymour failed to supervise a representative’s recommendations involving unit investment trusts and alternative investments and did not adequately review whether those recommendations were suitable, which violated FINRA Rules 3110 and 2010. Consequently, Seymour was suspended for one month in all principal capacities and fined $10,000.
