Did You Invest in the Haverford Group with Former Bolton Global Capital Pennsylvania Broker, PAUL WESCOE SMITH?

Stock Broker Barred By FINRA

The Soreide Law Group obtained the following information on FINRA’s website which is available to the public.
PAUL WESCOE SMITH CRD#: 1070735, has been barred from acting as a broker or otherwise associating with firms that sell securities to the public by the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) in June of 2017.
According to the information from FINRA, Smith was barred for allegedly failing to provide documents and information concerning private securities transactions.
According to the information given on FINRA’s BrokerCheck, PAUL WESCOE SMITH has been in the securities industry for 34 years and was listed with 7 different firms. On February 2, 2017, Smith was discharged by Bolton Global Capital because the SEC had notified Bolton Global that Smith had engaged in a private securities transaction without first notifying Bolton Global. Also listed on Smith’s BrokerCheck are 12 Disclosures, 10 of which are Customer Disputes.  Of the 10 Customer Disputes, 7 are still pending.
There are 5 pending Customer Disputes that involve investing in the Haverford Group, from 2009 to 2017, and according to the FINRA BrokerCheck, it was unbeknownst to the clients that the Haverford Group was allegedly a fraudulent unregistered security. These clients have claimed combined damages totaling in the hundreds of thousands of dollars. These clients also claimed to have trusted Smith and his recommendations of the Haverford Group.
When a broker does not disclose to his member firm the practice of selling private securities outside of the firm, it is known as ‘selling away.’  Firms are required under the rules and regulations of FINRA to properly supervise the activities of their brokers.  The practice of selling away can be a huge risk to their clients.  The client is often not aware of the fraudulent unregistered securities until it is too late and their investment is gone.
PAUL WESCOE SMITH’s most recent firm was:
05/08/2007 - 02/14/2017  BOLTON GLOBAL CAPITAL - Wayne, PA
