In June 2024, a customer claim naming Amir Navab (CRD 2437020) settled at Great Gable Wealth Management for $180,000. His BrokerCheck report also shows settled disputes at UBS Financial Services, starting in 2004.

Centaurus Financial appears as the firm on a pending customer arbitration against Brett Ewing (CRD 2904608). The customer filed it on September 14, 2026. According to BrokerCheck, the customer alleges that Ewing recommended unsuitable, illiquid investments from February 2016 through February 2019. Ewing denies the allegations, and no arbitrator has ruled.

The claim seeks $500,000 under docket number 26-01993, and it remains pending.
In a statement on BrokerCheck, Brett Ewing wrote, "I vehemently deny any wrongdoing." He called the allegations completely without merit. In his view, the investments were suitable and fit the customer's objectives, goals and financial circumstances.
Ewing added that the investments were offered "only after his review of all material documentation related to the investment." He also said the customer confirmed in writing that he received the required documentation and disclosures. According to Ewing, the customer fully understood the characteristics and risks of the investments.
An illiquid investment is one the owner cannot sell quickly at a fair price. Non-traded REITs and private placements are common examples. Many tie up money for years and offer only limited redemptions.
Claims over these products often turn on how much of the account went into them. When we review a claim like this, we look first at the customer's stated liquidity needs and time horizon. Both disputes on Brett Ewing's report involve illiquid investments.
An earlier customer filed a claim on December 19, 2023, docket number 23-03450. The customer alleged that Brett Ewing recommended an unsuitable investment and investment strategies in an illiquid alternative. The dispute settled on December 23, 2024 for $9,500.
Ewing's statement says he vehemently denied any wrongdoing then too. He wrote that his broker/dealer settled with the customer unilaterally and without his agreement. He made no monetary contribution, according to the statement.
BrokerCheck reports for Bryon Edwin Martinsen, Manuel Ramos, Thomas Benjamin Paine, Robert Lloyd Omohundro, Jeffrey Patrick Hobert and Patrick Roland Hobert list the same case number.

Here is how FINRA arbitration works.
This post summarizes public FINRA records, including BrokerCheck, as of October 21, 2026. Allegations in customer complaints and arbitrations are claims, not findings. Pending claims remain open and undecided. A settlement is also not an admission of wrongdoing. FINRA may also update or correct these records after that date.
