Ryan Racine Faced Client Dispute Concerning Life Insurance And Annuity Suitability

FINRA BrokerCheck shows that Ryan Racine is involved in a client dispute. According to FINRA Arbitration No. 25-02343, which was filed on November 17, 2025, the client alleged that recommendations involving a Prudential FlexGuard variable annuity and a variable universal life insurance policy were not aligned with the client's financial objectives and need for liquidity. Consequently, the client seeks $110,000 in compensation from Racine or Hantz Financial Services in this ongoing matter. Racine and Hantz Financial Services deny the allegations and contend that the recommendations were appropriate based on the clients' circumstances.

What Are Unsuitable Recommendations In Variable Annuities?

Unsuitable advice involving variable annuities can occur when a securities broker or financial advisor recommends an annuity that does not fit an investor's financial goals, risk tolerance, investment timeline, income needs, or liquidity requirements. Examples may include recommending products with surrender periods or complex features that are inconsistent with an investor's circumstances. Financial professionals are generally expected to have a reasonable basis for believing that an annuity recommendation is suitable before recommending the product.
