Ali Mahlooji Facing PHX Client Dispute Concerning Alleged Negligence

Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) BrokerCheck shows disclosures about securities broker Ali Barry Mahlooji [CRD: 4830105, Jersey City, New Jersey]. Mahlooji joined PHX Financial Inc. in New York, New York, on December 16, 2019. Previously, he worked for National Securities Corporation in Jersey City, New Jersey, from November 20, 2012, to December 17, 2019. Investors raised concerns about Mahlooji’s conduct, including allegations of negligence and unsuitable recommendations in his role as a securities broker.

PHX Financial Inc. Client Alleged Unsuitable Recommendations

Evidently, on August 19, 2024, a PHX Financial Inc. client brought FINRA Arbitration No. 24-01709. Mainly, the client alleged unsuitable recommendations. Because of this, the client allegedly sustained damages on private equities. Therefore, the client requested compensation from PHX Financial Inc. in the ongoing matter.

National Securities Corporation Investor Accused Ali Mahlooji of Negligence

On December 15, 2023, a client of National Securities Corporation filed FINRA Arbitration No. 23-03430, accusing Ali Mahlooji of negligence and unsuitable recommendations in stocks. The client asked for $280,765.51 in damages for the alleged misconduct. This matter is currently pending a resolution.

National Securities Corporation Investor Dispute Settled

On July 30, 2022, a client of National Securities Corporation settled FINRA Arbitration No. 21-02078. This client alleged Ali Mahlooji’s unsuitable recommendations in over-the-counter equities. The firm compensated the client with $40,000 to resolve the dispute.

Investor Accused Ali Mahlooji of Poor Recommendations

A client of National Securities Corporation made a complaint on June 9, 2015, alleging that Mahlooji made poor recommendations in over-the-counter equities. The client asked for $30,000 in damages, but National Securities Corporation denied the complaint, and no compensation was awarded in this matter.

Investor Settled Allegations of Unsuitable REITs

On August 27, 2021, FINRA Arbitration No. 21-00537 was settled for $6,500. The client alleged that Mahlooji provided improper advice regarding real estate securities.
