FINRA fined securities broker Brenton Edward Ditto [CRD: 4779103, Elizabethtown, Kentucky], and an investor complained about him, based on public information on Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) BrokerCheck. Evidently, Ditto worked for LPL Financial LLC from October 30, 2014, to August 28, 2025. See the following information to find out more about Ditto’s disclosures and regulatory history.

Ditto Sanctioned By FINRA For Unsuitable Recommendations

Particularly, FINRA issued Case: 2023079054101 on August 8, 2025, sanctioning Brenton Ditto for infractions. Allegedly, Ditto willfully violated Regulation Best Interest (Reg BI) under Rule 15l-1(a)(1) of the Securities Exchange Act of 1934 by recommending that a 95-year-old client invest in Government National Mortgage Association (GNMA) support class bonds—a complex investment not suitable for the client’s profile. Therefore, Ditto was suspended in all capacities for four months and fined $5,000.

LPL Financial LLC Disaffiliated With Brenton Ditto Following FINRA Sanctions

Notably, on August 28, 2025 LPL Financial LLC disaffiliated with Ditto. Evidently LPL Financial alleged that Ditto’s registrations were terminated upon issuance of a FINRA suspension order.

LPL Financial LLC Investor Accused Ditto Of Unsuitable Recommendations

Specifically, a client filed a complaint about Brenton Ditto. Primarily, the client alleged that Ditto made unsuitable recommendations concerning government bonds. For this reason, the client allegedly incurred damages. Consequently, on July 27, 2023 LPL Financial LLC settled this matter by paying the client $12,475.77 in damages.
