DAVID Hicks Sell You Bad REITS?

Loss Due to Stock Broker

Broker David Hicks Allegedly Sold Unsuitable REITs

Investors have come forward with complaints alleging sales practice violations by securities broker David Arthur Hicks (CRD#: 733045, Baltimore, Maryland). Namely, at least three investors indicated that their losses were caused by the securities broker, who worked for H. Beck, Inc. until 2016 when he joined Triad Advisors, LLC. Hicks’s clients suggest that he was responsible for unsuitable transactions and losses on REITs. Here’s more:

Beck, Inc. Client Indicates That David Hicks Sold Unsuitable REITs

On January 29, 2020, an H. Beck client filed a FINRA Arbitration Claim about David Hicks. Namely, the client indicated that Hicks concentrated the client’s assets in risky REITS and variable annuities. It seems that Hicks was not taking into account the client’s suitability information such as the client’s risk tolerance. Not only that, but the client alleged that Hicks charged excessive commissions in connection with these investments. For this reason, the client demanded $475,000 in compensation. Apparently, this claim is pending a resolution.

Hicks Seemingly Misrepresented REITs According To Triad Advisors Client

Evidently, a second client of Triad Advisors LLC brought a dispute about David Hicks on June 28, 2019. Namely, the client alleged that Hicks misrepresented real estate security products. It seems that Hicks told the client false information which could have impacted the client’s decision to buy REITs. For this reason, the client demanded $13,000 in damages in this ongoing matter.

Beck Client Indicates David Hicks Caused REIT Losses

Moreover, a client of H. Beck filed a dispute on October 2, 2018. Mainly, the client alleged that David Hicks invested the client in a bad REIT from December 2010 to October 2018. It seems that the client experienced losses because of Hicks’s unsuitable sale. However, the client withdrew this claim.
