Emerson Equity Investor Accused Baldini Of Being Responsible For Private Placement Losses

Specifically, on November 18, 2025, an Emerson Equity LLC client filed FINRA Arbitration No. 25-02505 about Dominic Baldini. Mainly, the client alleged that Baldini had control person liability concerning an investment that occurred on March 21, 2022. For this reason, the client allegedly incurred damages on private placements. As a result, the client requested $1,083,919 in compensation from Emerson Equity LLC or Baldini. BrokerCheck shows that this arbitration is ongoing.

Dominic Baldini Disclosed Control Person Liability Allegations By Emerson Equity LLC Client

Particularly, a client of Emerson Equity LLC contested Dominic Baldini’s sales practices by filing FINRA Arbitration No. 26-00150 on January 27, 2026. Allegedly, Baldini had control person liability concerning private placements and DST investments purchased on November 3, 2021. It appears that Baldini allegedly caused the client to experience damages. Therefore, the client seeks compensation from Emerson Equity LLC or Baldini. The claim identified $643,509.94 as the alleged investment amount.

FINRA Sanctioned Baldini For Failure To Supervise

FINRA’s Findings

Additionally, on December 22, 2021, FINRA issued Case No. 2020066078202 sanctioning Dominic Baldini. Specifically, Baldini was fined $5,000 and suspended for 20 business days from associating with any FINRA member in a principal capacity. Notably, FINRA alleged that Baldini failed to enforce a supervisory system and written procedures reasonably designed to comply with FINRA’s suitability rule for short-term trading of Class A and Class B mutual fund shares.

Supervision Concerns

FINRA alleged that Baldini and Emerson Equity LLC failed to reasonably supervise short-term mutual fund trading by one securities broker. The regulator stated that Baldini’s review relied on a daily order and trade status report that lacked key details, including share class, holding period, sales charges, and investor profile information.

Unsuitable Trading And Excessive Trading

FINRA alleged that the securities broker’s unsuitable trading continued for more than five years, causing clients to incur $1,641,929.94 in front-end loads and contingent deferred sales charges. FINRA also stated that the securities broker engaged in frequent mutual fund switching. FINRA alleged violations of FINRA Rules 3110 and 2010. Emerson Equity LLC was also censured, fined $50,000, and ordered to pay restitution.
