John Mickelson Linked To Cambridge Investment Research Client’s Unsuitable Advice Claim

Investors might have sustained losses due to securities broker John Mickelson [CRD: 2628700, Logan, Utah], according to disclosures on FINRA BrokerCheck. Specifically, Mickelson worked for Cambridge Investment Research Inc. from October 19, 2012 to December 31, 2022, and for Crown Capital Securities, L.P. from January 3, 2023 to March 12, 2024. Cambridge Investor Accused Mickelson Of Unsuitable Recommendations

Particularly, on February 20, 2025, a Cambridge Investment Research Inc. client filed FINRA Arbitration No. 25-00359 about John Mickelson. The client alleged that Mickelson made unsuitable recommendations in oil and gas investments. The client further claimed that the securities broker was after high commissions and fees. Supposedly, Mickelson deprived them of returns from a diversified portfolio. Therefore, the client requested compensation from Cambridge or Mickelson. Also, a client of Cambridge Investment Research Inc. disputed John Mickelson’s sales practices by filing FINRA Arbitration No. 25-00140 on January 21, 2025. Allegedly, Mickelson made unsuitable recommendations in oil and gas investments. Supposedly, the broker sold these speculative alternative investments to make high commissions and fees. It appears that Mickelson caused the client to sustain damages through these recommendations. Thus, the client seeks compensation from Cambridge or Mickelson in this ongoing matter.
