Joseph Amato Facing Alexander Capital Investor Arbitration Claim Regarding Negligence

Investors have reportedly disputed the sales practices of securities broker Joseph Anthony Amato [CRD: 2751635, Red Bank, New Jersey], according to public information on Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) BrokerCheck. Evidently, Amato has been registered with Alexander Capital L.P. since January 2, 2013, and with Alexander Capital Wealth Management LLC since April 18, 2021. Allegedly, Amato breached his fiduciary duty, was negligent, failed to supervise, violated FINRA rules, violated federal securities laws, and violated the Best Interest Obligations (Reg BI). It appears that Amato caused the client to sustain damages connected to real estate investment trusts and alternative investments. Consequently, the client seeks compensation from Alexander Capital or Amato in the amount of $499,000.99 in this ongoing matter.

Also, on October 17, 2024, an Alexander Capital L.P. client filed FINRA Arbitration No. 24-02230 about Joseph Amato. Primarily, the client alleged that Amato breached his fiduciary duty, was negligent, breached a contract, and violated FINRA rules. For this reason, the client allegedly incurred damages associated with private equity products. Therefore, the client requested $1,694,000 in compensation from Alexander Capital L.P. or Amato. It appears that this arbitration is pending a resolution.

Additionally, a client of Alexander Capital L.P. contested Joseph Amato’s sales practices by filing Civil Action No. 1:22-cv-3318 on May 4, 2022. Allegedly, Amato violated the Investment Advisors Act, breached his fiduciary duty, converted funds, breached a contract, and engaged in a civil conspiracy. It appears that Amato caused the client to sustain damages linked to promissory notes. Therefore, the client seeks compensation from Alexander Capital L.P. or Amato in this ongoing matter.
