On August 17, 2012, a client of PSP Financial Insurance Services accused Ramos of unsuitable recommendations in connection with fixed annuities. The client asked for $153,000 in damages. However, this complaint was closed with no further action taken by the client.
Another client made a complaint on May 25, 2011, concerning Ramos’s conduct while he worked for Sammons Securities Company LLC. The client claimed that a fixed annuity contract sold by Ramos in December 2010 was unsuitable and not in her best interest. The client requested $49,500 in damages, but Sammons Securities denied the complaint.
On August 22, 2003, a client of Tower Square Securities Inc. made a complaint accusing Juan Ramos of making unsuitable recommendations and misrepresenting material facts regarding mutual funds and variable annuities. The client asked for $30,500 in damages, but the firm denied the complaint.
