Investors potentially experienced sales practice violations because of securities broker Richard Kevin Kubiak [CRD: 2856073, Clarence Center, New York], based on disclosures through FINRA’s BrokerCheck. Kubiak has been registered with Ameriprise Financial Services LLC at its Cheektowaga, New York location since February 24, 1997, and at the firm’s Clarence Center, New York location since June 7, 2016. Check out the following information about the allegations involving Richard Kubiak and the investment products tied to the client’s claim.

Ameriprise Investor Accused Kubiak Of Unsuitable Recommendations

Particularly, on March 28, 2025, an Ameriprise Financial Services LLC client filed FINRA Arbitration No. 25-00625 about Richard Kubiak. The client alleged that Kubiak made unsuitable recommendations involving insurance products, fixed annuities, variable annuities, and illiquid real estate investments. Because of this, the client allegedly sustained damages. Therefore, the client requested $6,075,978.00 in compensation from Ameriprise Financial Services LLC or Kubiak. Evidently, this arbitration is pending a resolution.

What Is An Allegation Of Unsuitable Recommendations?

An allegation of unsuitable recommendations means that the broker is accused of recommending investments that were not appropriate for the client’s financial needs, investment goals, or risk tolerance. Brokers are required to understand their clients' financial profiles and only suggest investments that align with those circumstances. If a broker disregards these requirements, it can result in financial harm for the client.
